Inspect the O-ring and port sealing surface. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible assembly lubricant and install without twisting or trapping it. ORB seals at the O-ring; thread tape is not a substitute. Check engagement length, tighten to the manufacturer’s instructions and inspect for leaks.
Common question
Is ORB the same as an AN flare?
No. ORB seals with an O-ring at the port. An AN flare seals on a conical face. Matching thread sizes do not make the sealing systems interchangeable.
