Installation & notes
Clean and inspect the threads and sealing faces. AN/Dash flare fittings seal on the matching conical face; do not use thread tape on that connection. Use suitable tools to hold the mating part, route lines without strain and check the completed assembly for leaks. Follow the component manufacturer’s tightening instructions.
Common question
Are caps and plugs interchangeable?
No. A cap screws onto a suitable male thread, while a plug fits into a suitable port. Both the thread and sealing geometry must match.
