For closing suitable unused ports. Pressure, temperature and fluid suitability depend on both the plug and the receiving component.
Installation & notes
Clean and inspect the threads and sealing faces. AN/Dash flare fittings seal on the matching conical face; do not use thread tape on that connection. Use suitable tools to hold the mating part, route lines without strain and check the completed assembly for leaks. Follow the component manufacturer’s tightening instructions.
Common question
Can I choose the plug by thread size alone?
No. The sealing arrangement must also match. NPT, AN flare and ORB connections use different sealing methods.
